Bible Verse

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” — Genesis 1:27

CEV 27 So God created humans to be like himself; he made men and women.

NLT 27 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Bible Story

God made humans special. He created Adam and Eve in His own image, meaning we can think, love, and make choices. Unlike animals, people have the ability to know God and have a relationship with Him. God made each of us unique and important, with a special purpose in His creation. We are made to reflect His love and care for the world.

Thinking Time

What does it mean to be made in God’s image?

How are people different from animals?

What are some ways you can show God’s love to others?

Reflection

Being made in God’s image means we are loved and valued. God created each of us with a special purpose. Let’s remember to treat others with kindness and show God’s love.

Application

Tell someone today that they are special to God. Think of one way you can show God’s love to a friend or family member.
