The example of Christ shows us that our only hope of victory is in constantly resisting Satan’s attacks. Jesus, who overcame the adversary in the conflict of temptations, understands Satan’s power over people and has conquered him on our behalf. As an overcomer, He has given us the advantage of His victory. By uniting our weakness with His strength and our worthlessness with His merits, we can resist Satan’s temptations. With His enduring might, we can resist in His powerful name and overcome as He did.
